New IFRC President and Vice Presidents

The General Assembly of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, has elected the Lawyer and humanitarian Francesco Rocca from the Italian Red Cross as the new IFRC President.  During the IFRC Statutory Meetings, which are held once every two years, the Assembly, made up of the 178 Red Cross Red Crescent National Societies that were present also elected four Vice-Presidents:  Dr. Kerem, Kinik (Turkey) Vice President for Europe; Mr Abdoul Azize Diallo (Senegal) Vice President for Africa, Mr Miguel Angel Villarroel Sierraalta (Venezuela) Vice President for America, and Mr Chen Zhu (China) Vice President for Asia-Pacific.
